This year’s event is a paint-apalooza! After registering for Paint the Town Read summer reading program, kids are invited to spend some time creating a masterpiece at one of our paint stations. We’ll have a variety of techniques and mediums for young artists to try out. As a special bonus, anyone who registers during our kick-off celebration will be eligible to win a family pool pass to the Bensenville Park District.</p>

Take advantage of the Library’s stadium seating to enjoy complimentary coffee and donuts and watch classics from the 1950’s and 1960’s such as <em>The Big Sleep</em>, <em>Cat on a Hot Tin Roof</em>, <em>For Whom the Bells Toll</em>, <em>The Killing</em>,or <em>The Great Escape</em>. All movies will be projected onto the big screen and best of all you get to decide what movie we will be watching. <p>Set in late-19th-century Russia high-society, the aristocrat Anna Karenina enters into a life-changing affair with the affluent Count Vronsky. As Anna questions her happiness and marriage, change comes to all around her. The story powerfully explores the capacity for love that surges through the human heart. Based on the novel by Leo Tolstoy, this film is rated R for sexuality and violence.</p>

<p>The hilarious and offbeat Frankenweenie is a heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers and the entire town learn that getting a new “leash on life” can be monstrous.
