Silverware Windchimes

Join us for an evening crafting our very own silverware wind chimes! Popular at flea markets and craft fairs, these wind chimes are made from old (but clean!) silverware and repurposed into a unique piece of art, These eccentric pieces make great gifts, but also are a fun, quirky addition to your backyard!

For all adult crafting and DIY programs, registration is not required to attend, but space is limited. Doors to the event will open 15 minutes prior to the event start time. Participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and seats cannot be held.

 

Giant Pinwheels

Pinwheels aren’t just for kids—they make great decorations, but they’re also fun for adults, too—especially GIANT pinwheels! Join us for this unusual yet awesome craft that is sure to be the talk of the town. An added perk: giant pinwheels make for a great photo-op!

How To: Origami


Saturday, June 29 at 2:00 p.m. | AGES: 13 and up

Origami is the Japanese art of paper folding, the goal of which is to transform a flat square sheet of paper into a finished sculpture. Join us and for a fun afternoon of paper folding and learn how to make a crane, a frog, and a paper balloon.

Bottle Cap Garden Art

Looking for ways to spruce up the look of your garden? These bottle cap flowers are a cute and easy way to do just that!  Bottle caps will be provided, but feel free to bring in your own if you would like.

Stars & Stripes Rag Wreath

Join us as we make this patriotic rag wreath—perfect for the upcoming holidays of Memorial Day and the Fourth of July—out of scrap fabric and a wire wreath form! Scraps of fabric will be provided, but feel free to bring in your own fabric to use.

Recycled CD Coasters

In the spirit of Earth Day, let’s reuse, recycle, and repurpose and create something beautiful! We will be upcycling old CDs and turning them into fun, functional coasters—great for summertime parties.

Dictionary Magnets

Surround yourself with words of inspiration! Join us as we make these simple dictionary magnets—using flat marbles and dictionary pages! With over 273,000 entries in the English dictionary, your options are endless! These magnets also make great gifts for everyone.

Making Traditional Worry Dolls

Tuesday, August 6 at 7:00 p.m. | AGES: 13 and up

Join us in making traditional Guatemalan and Mexican worry dolls! These are small dolls (made of paper, wire, or string) that are used by children to vent their concerns and problems. At night, they are placed under their pillows and in the morning, the doll will have absorbed their worries. Registration is not required to attend, but space is limited. Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Chinese Calligraphy

Tuesday, May 21 at 7:00 p.m. | AGES: 13 and up

Are you interested in trying out some Chinese calligraphy? Learn how to use a traditional brush to write characters representing words while also creating art. Adults and adolescents ages 13 & up will have the opportunity to write symbols on paper with brushes provided to them.

AGES: Adults only!

Join us every second Wednesday of the month from 7:00—8:30 p.m. for calming coloring projects and peaceful music. Find time for yourself to rejuvenate! Stop in for a few minutes or stay the whole time— however long it takes for you to unwind!
