Pinhole Votive Lamps

Join us for a fun spin on traditional pinhole lanterns made from tin cans—we’ll be making pinhole votive lamps out of paper and a glass votive! Registration is not required to attend, but space is limited. Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Colorful Sand Bottles

Join us for an evening of simple, yet beautiful, sand art! We’ll be pouring layers of colorful sand into bottles to create your own unique, decorative design. Registration is not required to attend, but space is limited. Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis.

DIY Tie Dyed Paper

Decorate a Mini Birdhouse

The birds have returned from their winter vacation, and now they’re busy apartment hunting. Catch their eye by decorating a lovely little birdhouse for them to live in. Registration is not required to attend, but space is limited. Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Making Traditional Worry Dolls

Join us in making traditional Guatemalan and Mexican worry dolls! These are small dolls (made of paper, wire, or string) that are used by nervous children to vent their concerns and problems. At night they are placed under their pillows and in the morning their worries will have been absorbed by the doll. Registration is not required to attend, but space is limited. Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Crafting with the National Museum of Mexican Art

Ages: 13 and up

Join us as we welcome representatives from the National Museum of Mexican Art, who will teach us about the traditional Mexican Huichol art. During the program, you will be given a tutorial of how to create huichol weavings that you can take home with you. This event will be bilingual in Spanish and English. Registration is not required to attend, but space is limited. Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Essential Oils and Beading: Mosquito-Repelling Jewelry

Looking for a more natural way to fight those pesky mosquitos? Join Mary and Sue and create either a bracelet or a necklace infused with natural essential oils to ward off those annoying summertime pests.  You will also take home a 10 ml roll-on bottle of natural bug repellant for you to use all summer long.  Registration is not required to attend, but space is limited.  Participation is on a first-come, first served basis.

Chinese Calligraphy

Come learn and see a hands-on demonstration of the beautiful art of Chinese calligraphy. Adults and adolescents ages 13 & up will have the opportunity to write symbols on paper with brushes provided to them. This program will have calligraphy in Chinese with translations in English and Spanish.

Art & Relaxation

Join Mary for an evening of Art & Relaxation. Find time for yourself to rejuvenate! Choose from a selection of calming coloring projects to complete while you listen to peaceful music. Art & Relaxation will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on the following Wednesday evenings:
