Super Smash Bros. Tournament


Thursday, July 27 at 3:00 p.m.
AGES: 10 to 18 years old

Come out and join us for the Library’s Super Smash Bros. Tournament! Each participate MUST BRING their own Nintendo 3DS or compatible controller along with a copy of the Super Smash Bros. game. Compete in a four person battle, with winners advancing to the next stage of the tournament until there are no other challengers left standing! A prize will be awarded to the tournament champion. Registration is not required to attend, but space is limited. Participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Pokemon Grand Slam Tournament


Wednesday, July 26 at 3:00 p.m.
AGES: 10 to 18 years old

Thought the Pokémon League was challenging? Test your skills at the Library’s Pokémon Grand Slam Tournament! In order to participate in the tournament you MUST BRING your own Nintendo 3DS or 2DS along with your copy of:

  • Pokémon X  & Y
  • Pokémon Omega Ruby
  • Pokémon Alpha Sapphire
  • Pokémon Sun & Moon

Battles will be one on one until the Library’s Champion is crowned. Rules will be given at the event. A prize will be awarded to the tournament champion. Registration is not required to attend, but space is limited. Participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. NOTE: Tournament rules will be available ahead of the event on the Pokémon Grand Slam Tournament flyer.

Video Game Club


Tuesdays from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. – NEW!
Thursdays from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
August 24 – February 22
AGES: 10 to 16 years old

Join the Library every Tuesday and Thursday for video game playing. Each month we will be using a different game system to truly test your skills! At the club we will vote on which game we will be playing that day, and a snack will be provided for all players. Registration is not required to attend, but no more attendees will be accepted an hour after the program starts. The games played will be rated from E-T.

EVERYONE
Content is generally suitable for all ages. May contain minimal cartoon, fantasy or mild violence and/or infrequent use of mild language.

EVERYONE 10+
Content is generally suitable for ages 10 and up. May contain more cartoon, fantasy or mild violence, mild language and/or minimal suggestive themes.

TEEN
Content is generally suitable for ages 13 and up. May contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, minimal blood, simulated gambling and/or infrequent use of strong language.

 

 

MEGA Building


Wednesday, March 29 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
AGES: 5 to 12 years old

Explore the Library’s collection of building sets at our first ever MEGA Building event. We’re pulling out every building set we own, and we can’t wait to see what you make with them! Our unique building sets include: Magna-Tiles, Feltro, Tegu, Magz Bricks, Magz Clix, Snapo, Brackitz, and more! Join us for a morning of creative building and play. Registration is not required to attend this program.

 

Drive-In Theatre


Friday, October 6 at 12:00 p.m.
AGES: 3 to 10 years old

Make a cardboard car, bring a sack lunch, and take in a show! To start off our special program, every child will decorate a box car, supplied by the Library, and enjoy watching one of our favorite short films while parked. Stop by the Youth Desk the day of the program to reserve your spot. Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis.
NOTE: No other food or drink will be provided by the Library.

 

 

Lucky Duck Bingo


Tuesday, April 25 at 6:30 p.m.

Head to the Library for a night of family gaming fun at our Lucky Duck Bingo. Rubber duckies have been our most popular bingo this past year, so we decided to have a special bingo event where all of the prizes are rubber duckies. Don’t miss this one time only event! Registration is not required to attend, but space is limited. Players will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Spring Butterfly Ball


Wednesday, April 12 at 10:30 a.m.
AGES: 1 to 5 years old

Join Miss Kyrie for a special spring-themed music and movement program! Wear your fanciest duds and spend the morning singing, laughing, and (most importantly) dancing! Registration is not required to attend this program.

Family Art Night


Tuesday, March 21 at 6:30 p.m.
AGES: 4 to 12 years old

Celebrate Youth Art Month at the Library’s Family Art Night! Channel your inner artist and see what you can create with the different types of paints, clays, stamps, and more available in the Library’s art supply stash. All of our supplies are washable, but there is always a chance for a little mess when creating art. You may want to wear something that is okay to get slightly messy. This program is a drop-in event and registration is not required to attend.

Festival of Colors

ALL AGES

Join us for an evening of lively celebration at our first ever Festival of Colors. The Youth Services department will put their own spin on the upcoming celebration of Holi with colorful crafts, activities, and more. This program is a drop-in event and registration is not required to attend.
