Are you a fan of manga and graphic novels? Join Parish for the Library’s new Manga Book Club. Unlike other afterschool programs, the Manga Book Club meets at Blackhawk Middle School. Copies of the book to be discussed are available at the Youth Services Desk one month prior to the discussion. Manga Book Club meets at 3:00 p.m. at Blackhawk Middle School on the following dates:

Come out and join us for the Library’s Super Smash Bros. Tournament! Each participate MUST BRING their own Nintendo 3DS or compatible controller along with a copy of the Super Smash Bros. game. Compete in a four person battle, with winners advancing to the next stage of the tournament until there are no other challengers left standing! A prize will be awarded to the tournament champion. Registration is not required to attend, but space is limited. Participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. NOTE: Tournament rules will be available ahead of the event on the Super Smash Bros. Tournament flyer.

Thought the Pokémon League was challenging? Test your skills at the Library’s Pokémon Grand Slam Tournament! In order to participate in the tournament you MUST BRING your own Nintendo 3DS or 2DS along with your copy of:
- Pokémon X & Y
- Pokémon Omega Ruby
- Pokémon Alpha Sapphire
- Pokémon Sun & Moon
Battles will be one on one until the Library’s Champion is crowned. Rules will be given at the event. A prize will be awarded to the tournament champion. Registration is not required to attend, but space is limited. Participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. NOTE: Tournament rules will be available ahead of the event on the Pokémon Grand Slam Tournament flyer.

Join the Library every Tuesday and Thursday for video game playing. Each month we will be using a different game system to truly test your skills! At the club we will vote on which game we will be playing that day, and a snack will be provided for all players. Registration is not required to attend, but no more attendees will be accepted an hour after the program starts. The games played will be rated from E-T.

Explore the Library’s collection of building sets at our first ever MEGA Building event. We’re pulling out every building set we own, and we can’t wait to see what you make with them! Our unique building sets include: Magna-Tiles, Feltro, Tegu, Magz Bricks, Magz Clix, Snapo, Brackitz, and more! Join us for a morning of creative building and play. Registration is not required to attend this program.
Mondays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
September 11 – February 26
AGES: 2 to 10 years old
Children can join us for an hour of painting, drawing, and creating! We provide the supplies and you bring the imagination. Participants are encouraged to wear clothing they won’t mind getting messy. Registration is not required to attend this class, but space is limited. Spots are available on a rotating basis. Stop by the Youth Desk the day of the class for more information.
Our Early Childhood programs will be on break and not meet November 20-24 and December 26-January 19.

Our favorite #Coloring is coming back! If you enjoyed all the fun coloring pages from the last #Coloring then come out for this one! Join us every Monday night at 6:30 p.m. We’ll supply the coloring pencils and pages, you bring your creativity! No registration is required to attend.
