It was originally called Friedens Evangelical Church. Friedens is a German word for Peace.

The first church was located on Center and Wood Streets and was used from 1903 until 1967.
The name was changed to Peace Evangelical and Reformed Church in 1945.
The name was changed to Peace United Church of Christ in 1957.

This is the interior of the first church. It is decorated for a Harvest Festival.

The second and current church was built in 1968. It stands just north of the first church.
Previously, this land was the children's playground for Lions Park.
