First Village Hall
1909-1972

Bensenville's original village hall was built in 1908 of hand formed cement block at cost of $4,400. The Trustees met at the village hall; the second floor at one time housed the High School. Before St. Alexis church was built, Mass was said in the building. The Fire Department had some equipment here. The photo, taken in the earlier thirties show the fire bell on the tower behind the building, and the new fire siren adjacent to it.
