The original Lincoln School was built in 1861. The school in the quilt is the second building. It was bult in 1925 on the same site as the first and it was torn down in 1952. School was held in St. John's Parish Hall for two years. This picture shows the third Lincoln School. It was used by Bensenville School District #2 in the 1960's.  I am sure it was quite functional, but certainly not as lovely as the previous buildings.
