Al Capone and the 1933 World’s Fair

Saturday, June 2 at 2:00 p.m.

Join us in welcoming author William Hazelgrove as he discusses his book, Al Capone and the 1933 World’s Fair: The End of the Gangster Era in Chicago—the exciting and sprawling history behind the 1933 World’s Fair. We’ll take a historical look at Chicago during the bleakest days of the Great Depression, as the city was fighting the hold of organized crime and fighting to survive. Books will be available for purchase, and to be signed, at the conclusion of the talk.
