Breakfast with the Easter Bunny


Saturday, April 6 at 10:00 a.m. | Blackhawk Middle School Cafeteria
AGES: 10 years old and younger

Kids 10 and younger are encouraged to join the Bensenville Community Public Library and Bensenville School District 2 for our second annual Breakfast with the Easter Bunny in the Blackhawk Middle School Cafeteria. This event includes a pancake, tater tots, sausage, and egg breakfast, a photo-op with the Easter Bunny, as well as other crafts and activities. Buses will be available for those with limited transportation, bus route information will be available one week prior to event. Registration is not required, but space is limited. Life-Size Candy Land — Family Edition!


Friday, March 29 from 10:30 a.m. — 12:30 p.m.
AGES: Families with children 3 years old and up

You’re invited to play our life-size Candy Land game! The meeting room will transform into the game board with YOU as the game piece. Compete with your family for your Candy Land prize! Registration is not required, but space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

Polish Storytime

Join Miss Kat as she shares all of our favorite books, rhymes, and movement activities bilingually! A simple craft will also be provided. Registration is not required to attend, but space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Sing, Dance, Play!

Join Ms. Kyrie every week for a musical adventure! You and your child will sing new rhymes, dance to fun songs, and interact with different musical instruments. Registration is not required to attend, but space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Drive-In Theatre


Wednesday, January 2 at 12:00 p.m.
AGES: 3 to 8 years old

Make a cardboard car, bring a sack lunch, and take in the show! To start off our special program, every child will decorate a box car, supplied by the Library, and then enjoy watching one of our favorite films while “parked.” Stop by the Youth Services Desk the morning of the program for a ticket to reserve your spot. Space is limited to 25 children. NOTE: No food or drink will be provided by the Library.

 

Spanish Storytime


 

First Thursday of every month at 5:00 p.m.
Third Saturday of every month at 10:30 a.m.

AGES: 2 to 8 years old

Join Mrs. Fausto as she shares all of our favorite books, rhymes, and movement activities bilingually! A healthy snack will also be provided. Registration is not required to attend, but space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

World Cup soccer is back again at the Bensenville Library this summer! The U.S. Women’s Team has qualified as the #1 ranked team to play in France for the World Cup!  Will Team USA repeat a championship after winning the cup in 2015? Catch some of their matches here live on T.V.

Mobile Room Escape: Down Periscope


Wednesday, June 13 at 2:00 AND 4:00 p.m. | Ages: 12-18 years old

You’re “locked” in a submarine, submerged in the North Atlantic, surrounded by enemy warships. You have one hour to work with your peers to guide your sub to safety. Search for hidden clues, use your periscope to chart the course, and solve other riddles. Can you escape in time? Registration is not required, but space is limited to 12 participants each session. Participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. for the first session and 3:30 p.m. for the second session.

Children are invited to join us after Book Buddies to stay and play. We will have some fun things for kids who are early elementary school age. Enjoy an hour of play! Registration is not required to attend.
