Kids 10 and younger are encouraged to join the Bensenville Community Public Library and Bensenville School District 2 for our second annual Breakfast with the Easter Bunny in the Blackhawk Middle School Cafeteria.
This event includes a pancake, tater tots, sausage, and egg breakfast, a photo-op with the Easter Bunny, as well as other crafts and activities. Buses will also be available for transportation to and from the breakfast, bus route information will be available one week from event.
Registration is not required, but space is limited. All children must be attended by an adult. All adults must be accompanied with a child. For questions or further details, please contact the Library at (630) 766-4642.

Join the Library every Wednesday morning for Art Club. Each week we will provide a different project for you to complete as well as a variety of supplies for you to create your own masterpiece. No registration is required to attend, but space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Video Game Club
Tuesdays at 2:00 p.m. | June 11 – July 30 | AGES: 12 to 18 years old
Join the Library for video game playing! Each week we will be using a different game system to truly test your skills! At the club, we will vote on which game we will be playing that day. Registration is not required, but no more attendees will be accepted after an hour into the program. The games played will be rated from E-T.
Video Game Club Tournament
Thursday, July 25 at 1:00—5:00 p.m.
Ages: 10 to 18 years old
Join the library for its second MEGA Video Game Tournament Day – complete with pizza! Our tournament will be split into two game brackets, titles to be released one week prior to event. Registration is not required, but space is limited. Battling players will not be allowed to participate in the tournament after the first 15 minutes, so please arrive early.

Join us the third Tuesday of every month* to channel your inner artist. See what you can create with different types of paints, stamps, and more, available from the Library’s art supply stash. We will present themed project ideas to get you started. All of our supplies are washable, but there is a chance for a mess, so wear something that can get messy! Space is limited, and artists will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. *Family Art Night does not meet in December

Children can join us for an hour of painting, drawing, and creating! We provide the supplies and you bring the imagination. Participants are encouraged to wear clothing they won’t mind getting messy. Registration is not required to attend this class, but space is limited. Spots are available on a rotating basis. Stop by the Youth Desk the day of the class for more information.
Our Early Childhood programs will be on break and not meet November 20-24 and December 26-January 19.
Fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m.
AGES: 3 to 11 years old
Children can head to the Library for a night of gaming fun, where players have a chance to win Bingo Bucks that they can redeem for prizes. Bingo cards will be provided to children only. Space is limited to the first 30 children, and players will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Join us every Tuesday for LEGO building fun! We’ll provide our extensive collection of bricks and elements, while you provide the imagination! Come up with your own building ideas or use our weekly theme to inspire you. After you are done building, we’ll feature some of the awesome LEGO creations on our Instagram page! No registration is required to attend, but space is limited.

AGES: Kindergarten and older
Kids are invited to practice their reading skills with Adele and Ms. Penny! Adele, a friendly, trained therapy dog is at the once a month to help reluctant readers gain confidence and improve their reading skills with her patient, nonjudgmental, and furry nature. Registration is not required, but space is limited to 20 minutes per reader. Spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Sunset Park | ALL AGES
Children of all ages are invited to join us Fridays in July for Park Play, the Library’s outdoor playgroup. The Library will be at Sunset Park for an hour of outdoor play to socialize with other parents and caregivers while your child enjoys sunshine, fresh air, as well as active, manipulative, and sensory play. NOTE: Park Play will be relocated to the Library’s meeting room in inclement weather.
