Is the Library open?
No. The Library is closed to the public during this time. We will offer limited telephone and email services from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday only.
Will the Library still be a polling location?
Yes, we will be open on March 17 strictly as a polling location. Please visit www.dupageco.org/election for any questions you may have regarding the March 17 general primary election day or your assigned polling place.
When will events at the Library resume?
All in-person Library programming events are currently cancelled through Sunday, April 5, 2020. We will reassess the situation at that time, so please stay tuned for more details by checking benlib.org/covid-19, following us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, or calling the Library at (630) 766-4642.
Will the Library be rescheduling any of the cancelled programs?
We will do our best to reschedule some of our programs and events. Be sure to bookmark our online calendar, benlib.evanced.info/signup, to see all event updates.
Will be Library’s Board Meeting still take place as scheduled in March?
Yes. The Bensenville Community Public Library will hold our normal Board meeting on Monday, March 23. A staff member will be present at the front door to escort any residents back to our Board room for our meeting.
Will I be fined for overdue materials?
No. We are halting all Library fines through Sunday, April 5.
Can I still return my library materials?
Our outdoor, curbside book drop will still be open during this time.
Are book, CD, and other material donations being accepted?
No. Please hold any donations you may have until further notice.
What happens the materials that I have on hold during this time?
Your holds will be suspended until our next open date. If you have any further questions about your holds or any of our circulation policies during this time, please contact us at (630) 766-4642.
