A.M. Regular Meeting Contact Person: Eleonor Goble The Quilt The quilt you have been looking at was made in 1976 in honor of the nation's Bicentennial. The fifteen blocks represent places and things of historical significance to Bensenville. You will notice it is appliqued, quilted, and embroidered. The work was begun in early April and was finished in time for the Fourth of July Parade. It currently resides at the Bensenville Community Public Library. The Lincoln School was the first meeting place of the Homemakers. The White Pines Clubhouse was the meeting place at the time of the quiltmaking. The Homemakers also used to meet at the Bensenville Library.
