White Pines Golf Course was the Franzen Schultz farm.  The original farmhouse built about 1890 was the basic structure of the first clubhouse and the original windows could be seen at the roof peak.  The golf course was constructed in 1928-29 by experts who used horsedrawn equipment to convert the farm  into two eighteen hole courses. The picture below is the current clubhouse.
